Since its inception Watermans has benefited from consistent financial support from The Arts Council England, The London Borough of Hounslow and London Councils

Watermans is also supported by the UK Film Council and is part of the Digital Film Network

Our aim is to achieve a robust financial position with a broad and active programme that delivers income to cover all of our costs and to maintain a balance sheet that has sufficient reserves to protect us from any unexpected events or fractures in our regular sources of income

The recent decision by ACE to cut our funding completely is a setback that we are fighting. However we are constantly investigating new sources of funding and adapting as the market does.

We are ahead of the curve with the current trend to project funding. We have already won projects from Sport England, the Department of Culture and Media and the GLA and we are supported by The Baring Foundation.

We are in the middle of a European-wide project funded by the EU collaborating with Arts Centres from Sofia, Barcelona and Berlin and we have just won additional funding from London Councils which will help to underpin our development over the next four years.
