A crowd pleaser that has wowed audiences at film festivals, set in an early 1980s English town, it tells the story of two schoolboys from opposite sides of the track. Will comes from a strict religious sect, which forbids TV or cinema, so when he first comes across Carter, the school tear-away, they would seem to have little in common. The exploits of Sylvester Stallone as John Rambo turns out to be the catalyst that brings them together, but can they really get on together and will the world at large let them.
