Alain Moreau is a singer who plays the provincial dance hall circuit with his ex-wife managing his career. One night, he meets Marion a young, attractive but troubled woman, who is rebuilding her life with her son after a failed marriage. A night of passion leaves Marion with regrets. Alain, conversely quite enamoured. They grow close as he tries to win back her affection, discovering that they are actually much alike. A splendid performance by screen veteran Depardieu.
