A crime thriller that's much more than solving a mysterious case. After an elderly man is found murdered, Inspector Erlendur doesn't have much to go by but a photograph of a young girl's grave. After reopening a very old case, a trail of unusual forensic evidence, uncovers secrets that are much larger than the murder of one old man.
