Watermans are delighted to exhibit this photographic collaboration between Cassel Hospital, a therapeutic community and the photography department at Thames Valley University. Young people from the Young Person's Services at Cassel Hospital took part in a series of workshops with MSc Photography students and lecturer Matt Lea from the photography department at TVU.
Missing Reflections interprets the participants' feelings and experiences dealing with mental health issues as young people.
The participants were given the opportunity and the responsibility to learn how to use a camera creating images based on the project idea. They were given the opportunity to discuss with their fellow peers their ideas and processes which led them to choose a selection of photographs to be part of the exhibition.
