Impact | How we deliver
Watermans has a dedicated and well trained team of staff
experienced in community arts and delivering participative arts
projects. This team delivers a year-round programme of activities
as well as helping to define the contribution that arts activities
can and should play in the community.
- A year-round programme of activities that appeal to all
factions of the community
- A network of artists and arts organisations that help us
to deliver our programme. This core group has been specially put
together due to their extensive skills and experience in leading
workshops with our target groups.
- Projects are delivered at our venue in Brentford, or can take
place in community locations such as day centres or housing
estates.
- A combination of regular weekly projects and intensive
school holiday and summer workshops
- The ability to deliver large scale outdoor arts performances in
community areas such as Hounslow High Street and Lampton Park.
These help us directly engage with and bring Watermans to the heart
of the community.
- A dedicated Community Dance Coach, Natasha Mackenzie, who
deliver's Watermans dance programmes in community venues such as
schools, community centres and schools.
- Work regularly with LB Hounslow, NHS Hounslow and the Primary
Care Trust on projects that deliver health improvements
- Take an active role in cultural regeneration and is a core
member of the Brentford High Street Steering Group
