Impact | Personal outcomes

Watermans has seen a great variety of different personal outcomes that have become embedded into the daily lives of the participants:

  • Participants have gone on to further study, either at School or College following a project at Watermans.
  • Participants evaluation forms showing a demonstrable improvement in how they rate their skills in the project area i.e. using a digital camera.
  • For people with Mental Health issues or Learning Disabilities, families and carers have remarked how the participants have learnt to feel comfortable and safe with a new adult, often the workshop leader.
  • Improved confidence, self- esteem and teamwork.
  • In one case participants from a Watermans project went on to be enrolled into the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award and a level one customer services course.
  • For dance projects, the benefit of having regular physical exercise contributes to all round health and well- being.
