We run our award-winning drama project and perform at Watermans every Easter

In partnership with Watermans the Awaaz Youth Project deliver an annual drama project where young people ranging in age from 11 to 25 who may never have experienced drama before are able to gain new experiences such as theatre, performance and stage management and learn drama as well as develop their social and personal skills.  Often those involved return the following year to develop their experiences and skills.  Participants also obtain an AQA qualification in Drama Skills.

This year ANONYMOUS is an 8-month project that has been steered by the young people of Awaaz Youth Project.  Young people varying from 11 to 22 years of age have been working together for the past 8 months and have created Anonymous, a story of culture clashes, faith, love and friendships set in a multi-ethnic community where Hibaq learns how hard it is to fit into a new community and Hardeep is torn between his roots and following his heart.

They will be performing, undertaking stage management, music arrangements and the filming for the performance nights and collaboratively working on the development of the play.  The group have been meeting at Hounslow Youth Centre every Monday since October 2007 and will spend their intensive rehearsal period during the Easter break at Watermans culminating in 2 performance nights on 11th and 12th

Come and support the Awaaz Youth Project.  Tickets are £5 and £3 concessions.
