Anupam has acted in over 200 films. He started his journey in crossover cinema with Gurinder Chaddha's ‘Bend It Like Beckham' and won applause for his performance. Anupam made his directorial debut with ‘Om Jai Jagdish'.
Anupam Kher was the Director of National School of Drama between 2001 and 2004. He also runs an acting school in Mumbai called ‘Actor Prepares'.
He is opening a branch of this school in Ealing, West London in 2009. He will also be running an acting workshop in association with Watermans later in the year
