In 2002 when Life of Pi won the Man Booker Prize, it went on to capture public imagination. It managed to combine the impossible feat of being an adult story for children and a children's story for adults.
Life of Pi charts the adventures of Pi, a 16 year old Indian boy. His family own a zoo in Pondicherry, Southern India, but decide to emigrate to Canada taking some of the animals with them. The ship they travel in sinks and Pi finds himself sharing a lifeboat with a hyena, a zebra with a broken leg, a female orang-utan, a 450 pound Bengal tiger, his imagination and his faith.
This story of a Hindu boy who embraces Christianity and Islam in search of his own God is one of self-exploration and survival that will make you question your own beliefs and view of the world.
Yann Martel the original author said "I loved it. I thought they did an extraordinary job"
Twisting Yarn is the only company permitted to stage this story so don't miss your chance to see this amazing production
