Schools and families make the rules, they monitor and restrict - risks are assessed and lives protected as they do their best to keep young people safe. RISK is about the decisions young people make as they walk the line between feeling alive and staying alive.
"Don't tell me what to do.
I'll do what I like.
It's my life, this is my life"
Created using interviews and workshops with young people, RISK is a striking fusion of street dance and theatre from the team who created the acclaimed CLUB ASYLUM. RISK draws five stories from the voices and actions of a generation of these young people. Personal safety is not at the top of their list. They are looking for excitement, even danger - ways to feel more alive. Their stories burn with the intensity of risk-taking, captured on stage in an adrenalin rush of hip-hop, breakdance and street-dance.
RISK is a macrobert production in association with Company of Angels, YDance and The Tron
choreographer Andy Howitt
