About this event

Feel that beat! Use a range of drums, voice and movement to create your own ensemble drum and rhythm piece as part of a group. You’ll learn basic drumming technique and develop a sense of timing, as well as learning to play as an ensemble. This is serious family fun!

We are running these workshops on 3 days over the festival period. If you'd like to improve your drumming skills, please book all three and you will be able to learn and develop your skills over the weeks. Or if you just want to come once, that's fine, and you'll have lots of fun too.

About the artist

Sandra Dyer will lead the workshop. She is an experienced drum tutor with Southwark Music Services and with Drumhead. Drumhead has been delivering high-quality drumming-based workshops in the UK to children and adults since 1998, including sold-out sessions at our summer programme two years ago. We're delighted to have her back!

Children aged 4-8 must be accompanied by an adult for this class. Over 8s may come with an adult or unaccompanied. If unaccompanied they MUST have a signed parent consent form in order to attend. This should be returned to the Box Office on booking and can be Downloaded here.
