About this event

Or Twisted Takes on the Sickeningly Familiar.

Back at Watermans with her brand new show, Charlie Bicknell is once again joined by Louise Innes for what promises to be a 'witty, wanton, wonderful' (The Observer) evening of exceptional cabaret.

In The Latest Show, Charlie Bicknell and Louise Innes accompanied by pianist David Harrod perform an original explosive cabaret show featuring opera, circus and songs both hilarious and moving. Sending up cult films such as The Greatest Showman and Game of Thrones while paying homage to the likes of Tim Minchin and Jacques Brel. A full operatic rendition of Star Trek and a very very large balloon. Expect the unexpected.

If you love Fascinating Aida, Tiger Lilies or Tim Minchin you'll love this. And if you've seen Charlie and Louise before, you'll want to come back!

About the Artists

Charlie Bicknell became a household name playing Delilah in BBC2's This Life and subsequently starred in Ben Elton's West End Hit Popcorn and continued to work as an actor at the National Theatre. She then moved into cabaret and circus performing to rapt audiences around the world. In 2018, she was named 'Unique Cabaret Artist of the Year'.

Louise Innes is a versatile operative mezzo soprano who has sung at Covent Garden Opera House, La Scala and 10 Downing Street to name but a few. She performs with Charlie in venues like Crazy Coqs, Wilton's Music Hall and Zedel as her comedic partner, proving that opera singers can be very funny indeed.

THIS SHOW IS PART OF OUR FRIDAY NIGHTS LIVE SPRING 2020 SERIES.

...cabaret with claws. It's a heady, edgy, high-octane mix of English Rose, vamp and Cruella. Shamelessly sexy, murderously funny. You have been warned. Roses have thorns.

A unique and highly entertaining night out
