About this event

DARKFIELD presents extraordinary immersive work at the forefront of technology and theatre.

Over 30 minutes, the audience is invited to take part in a mass experiment, to lie down together and imagine a new collective reality.

Imagine the moment of waking up is actually the moment when your dream begins. In light of this new and strange reality, how can we save you from the unspeakable horrors which lurk in the dark recesses of your mind? The only cure we offer is a placebo and a promise. Please remember when you leave to take your body with you.

This Immersive experience takes place in a shipping containers and uses binaural 360 degree sound, complete darkness and a variety of sensory effects to situate each audience member at the centre of intense evolving narratives. Behind the doors of each container a strange world unfolds. Step inside, put on the headphones and soon the lights will go out.

This brand new show premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2019 and in Canary Wharf, London. In Spring it is at Kings Cross, then coming to Watermans for 5 days only.

After welcoming over 120,000 audience members worldwide into three shows, and three sold out Edinburgh Festival runs, innovative and risk-taking theatre company DARKFIELD bring COMA to Watermans.

This show is wheelchair accessible. If you use a wheelchair, please select the wheelchair ticket option online or book via the box office. Please note this ticket is ONLY suitable for a person in a wheelchair and non wheelchair users cannot be admitted with this ticket.

If you’ve never experienced one of Darkfield’s shows, absolutely go: it is technically astonishing, completely uncanny, and deeply unnerving. You start to question your own senses. You may start to feel a rising panic. It’s not for faint-hearted
