About this event

The course will cover an exploration into the language of drawing and mark-making. I hope to share my passion for drawing as a vehicle for discovery and creativity. Fundamental drawing exercises will lead into a wide range of subject matter. The core principals of drawing will be taught and enable students to gain an appreciation of shape, form and space. We will use a variety of drawing materials and techniques and each session will build on and develop the specific needs and interests of the group. I aim to encourage students to
discover the magic of drawing as a discipline that is essential to all aspects of the subject. Sessions will be studio based but as the course and ability progresses we will be drawing from the natural and urban landscape. You will need to bring x2 2b pencils, an eraser, a small sketch book i.e. A5/4 plus any other drawing equipment of your choice. I will supply paper, some pastels and charcoal. Advice will be given on where and how to purchase further materials.
