About this event

CPP Hounslow is delighted to present a new exhibition of photographic portraits by award-winning, Hounslow-based photographer and film maker Rehmat Rayatt at Hanworth Library.

The exhibition ‘Music and Me’ celebrates the extraordinary wealth of musical talent in the London Borough of Hounslow. Rehmat has chosen to photograph the musicians in and around the local area using Hounslow as a vibrant backdrop to the portraits.

Featured musicians include drummer Johnny Kalsi (Dhol Foundation), rock band Chains of Daisy, classical musicians from Hounslow Symphony Orchestra, DJ Bick and Gallileo Damascus. Each portrait is accompanied by a text from each musician about what music means to them, both personally and professionally.

The exhibition will be displayed at Hanworth Library, with a special opening event on Thursday 24 October, before touring London Borough of Hounslow libraries until the end of 2021.
