About this event

These classes are designed to meet the needs of students of all abilities but primarily to enable each student to connect with the beautiful and versatile medium of oil paint. All students will be encouraged to pursue their individual interests, whilst giving them guidance on a range of techniques and the use of the material itself. The course will begin by developing core drawing and painting skills, exploring shapes and colour values in a still life; developing studies of the human figure and creating recession in a landscape; The course is designed to include experimental painting techniques whilst learning the traditional skills and craft of painting. I will supply paint, brushes and oil painting medium, plus white spirit but you are encouraged to bring your own equipment as well as canvases, or primed oil painting paper.
