About this event

Don’t bin it. Up-cycle it. Transform your old t-shirt with a pattern of your own design. This inspiring and interactive workshop will get your creativity flowing as you experiment with block printing techniques and abstract designs.

During the workshop you’ll:

  • Discover textile printing processes and techniques 

  • Learn how to use a repeat pattern to transform an item of clothing and a bag 

  • Create your own printing stamp

  • Get passionate about up-cycling

About the workshop leader

Nicole currently works part-time at University for the Creative Arts in Farnham and Epsom. Nicole supports students to set up studio space, prepare portfolios and make the student’s experience in education more comfortable and achievable. 

Since graduating in 2012 in Textiles for Fashion and Interiors at UCA Nicole was Artist in Resident for two years with the BA Textile department.Her residency developed into teaching workshops, providing lectures about her practice, and tutorials with the students. In 2014 I was then given the opportunity to start my teaching qualification in Higher Education in the Creative Arts, funded by UCA.She is now currently studying on a MA in Creative Education at UCA funded by the university.  

Nicole Line Workshops started in 2014, it is an extension to her creative practice and teaching at UCA. She organises creative activities for unusual spaces, working with people from all sorts of backgrounds, including providing workshops to a mixture of professionals.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just an old t-shirt, sweatshirt or t-towel (but avoid dark colours if you can) to print on. Drawstring bags will be provided for you to print onto during the workshop.

Children aged 8 and over are not accompanied. They MUST have a signed parent consent form to take part before the workshop. Parent consent forms must be filled in online via the event pages when booking.  FILL IN AND DOWNLOAD THE CONSENT FORM
