About this event

Come to the Riverside Gallery to get a stone massage!

This is a performance inspired by lithotherapy (cristal healing, an alternative medicine technique). The artist provides a massage session by manipulating stones that are drawn from his sculptural practice.

He uses a series of mineral assemblages that take up the dogmas and stories associated with the beliefs of the healing power of stones and whose purpose is to improve the patient's energies.

The stones are “augmented”, they contain electronic circuits which enable them to record and transmit voice and other sounds, thus facilitating exchange and dialogue between humans.

This performance was initiated as part of the activity of the Collective “The Institute of Esthetics” composed of Haily Grenet, Emile Degorce Dumas and Vincent Voillat. The group was invited last year at the Palais de Tokyo and will be presented this winter at Centre Pompidou.

This is a free event and open to all, so no ticket is required.
