Since 2014, Bell Square has brought theatre, circus, dance, music and performance from around the world into the middle of Hounslow.

Watermans’ Mission
Watermans’ mission is to bring communities together through cultural practice and to enrich lives through the arts and creativity. It acts as a producer, curator, and connector, bringing together artists and audiences to present a year round programme.
Watermans’ Programme
Watermans presents international outdoor performance at Bell Square; new media art commissions, residencies and exhibitions; a programme for Disabled children and young people – which is both accessible and aspirational – and a programme of large-scale projects and micro-interventions – in different locations, engaging different communities, across Hounslow.
How is Watermans Funded?
The organisation receives grant funding from Arts Council England and London Borough Hounslow.
Watermans accepts donations to support its core programme throughout the year. Find out more here.

New festival - Bell Square Calling: France
Bell Square Calling: France
24 – 27 September 2026
Bell Square Calling, is a new annual festival dedicated to showcasing exceptional outdoor artists from a single country or region and creating opportunities for international artistic exchange. The inaugural edition, Bell Square Calling: France, takes place from 24–27 September 2026, bringing some of France’s most exciting outdoor performance companies to Bell Square in Hounslow. The festival will present an eclectic programme of dance, circus, music and theatre, alongside Artist Q&As, Conversations and audience discussions exploring contemporary outdoor performance practice.
