This page will be dedicated to updating you on our response to the Coronavirus outbreak. Here is our latest announcement:
Following the latest Government announcement, Watermans’ building will now be temporarily closed.
Until now we have remained open, while cancelling all screenings and events in our spaces.
From 6pm tonight, we will close for as long as the Government instructs us to in order to address the Coronavirus outbreak.
We thank our audiences for the many kind words and generous donations over the last few days. We are working hard to look at how we can continue to bring you creative inspiration in these difficult times. So please follow us on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook @WatermansArts, and we will be sending email updates too.
We’re currently contacting those with tickets booked up to and including Sunday 5 April, and next week we expect to begin to contact customers with tickets booked after that date. Please be reassured that if we are closed when you had a ticket booked (or indeed if you remain at home due to following Government advice when we open again), we will refund your ticket. We don’t want any customer to be out of pocket at this already difficult time.
Please bear with us while we contact customers and process returns and many thanks for your patience, understanding.
If you are a Friend of Watermans, we will also be contacting you next week to explain what will happen to your Friends membership during this period. Again, please bear with us while we deal with this unprecedented situation.
We hope that you are keeping safe and well, and will keep you updated as the situation changes. We look forward to reopening in due course and to welcoming you back to enjoy your local arts centre.
