The Winter Lights Festival is a partnership between Brighton based lantern specialists Same Sky and CPP Hounslow. Each year we bring a vibrant parade to Hounslow high street with lanterns, music and performance to celebrate Hounslow’s festive lights switch on.
Same Sky develop large scale puppets to dance and perform throughout the parade alongside live music, poetry and lights. The parade culminates in a performance at Hounslow’s outdoor arts space, Bell Square.
Members of the public join us to collect a lantern made by community groups in the lead up to the parade. Over the past few years, local artists ArtJar have led lantern making workshops with a range of school and community groups throughout the Autumn, preparing beautful, handmade lanterns to be used on the parade. These lanterns are handed out to attendees who follow the parade.
This year the parade will be on 22nd November 2025. Everyone is welcome! Keep an eye out for more details nearer the time!
