It acts as a producer, curator, and connector, bringing together artists and audiences to present a programme that includes international outdoor performance and new media art at Bell Square London from May to November (including in 2025 the Theatre is Freedom | Teatr to Wolność festival as part of the UK/Poland Season), a programme for Disabled children and young people, which is both accessible and aspirational, as well as large-scale and micro cross-artform creative events across Hounslow and online.

Watermans receives funding from Hounslow Council and Arts Council England but needs to find additional income for new projects. It is important to keep these events free to enable everyone to enjoy them..
