About this event
Sew, wire, code and play your own musical instrument glove that responds to your movements. Based on a gestural glove that was used by Ariana Grande on her last world tour and developed by Helen Leigh in collaboration with Imogen Heap, this workshop will introduce you to the world of creative computing. No experience with code or electronics needed, but it will help if you can thread a needle and do a basic running stitch.
You are welcome to bring your own laptop or use one from Watermans.
Helen Leigh is a children’s author, maker and lecturer. Helen loves to make creative projects with all sorts of technology, from robot unicorns to musical instruments. She has written for National Geographic, Hackspace Magazine and Intel Education, and her latest book is The Crafty Kid’s Guide to DIY Electronics, published by McGraw Hill.
Part of the Digital Weekender 2018
