About this event

A family friendly introduction to DIY Electronics through craft. Learn the basics of electricity and make a cute light-up card using paper, copper tape and LEDs. If you want to go further, Helen will guide you through how to use more complex designs with sensors, materials and code to create your own creative, crafty circuitry system.

Helen Leigh is a children’s author, maker and lecturer. Helen loves to make creative projects with all sorts of technology, from robot unicorns to musical instruments. She has written for National Geographic, Hackspace Magazine and Intel Education, and her latest book is The Crafty Kid’s Guide to DIY Electronics, published by McGraw Hill.
