About this event
Performed by one of Poland’s most thrilling outdoor theatre companies, who were at Bell Square last year with Tempest, Eurydyka recounts the fate of two timeless heroes: Orpheus and Eurydice. Their love is stronger than death. Unable to come to terms with the loss of his beloved, Orpheus sets out to find her. The notion of what lies beyond life intertwines with reality. He reaches a hell infested with rats and must grapple with his memories and dilemmas. In the performance, earthly reality intertwines with a metaphysical underworld that manipulates time, truth, and hope. What is real and what is illusion? How will this journey end?
