25 pieces exploring the human pshyche in different media.
My name is Anne Armitage. I have been involved in mental health for ten years and I have been diagnosed with schizoid effective disorder, paranoid schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Maybe I’m not to be pigeon-holed or maybe I am completely pigeon-holed?
My work is derived from art therapy sessions as well as independent work. My inspiration has been the many great artists’ work that I have come across through study. My work is an ultimate response to the unattainable mysteries of the human psyche. I would like to be a forerunner in mental health art which always has a story behind the piece and try to disperse the injustices in the attitudes towards mental health, as it is one of the last stigmas to be addressed.
