An interactive sound Installation & Two Free Drop-in Instrument Making Workshops
The Science of Music is a playful sound installation that uses new technologies to explore the relationship between electricity, sound, resonance and the physical world. It demonstrates how nodal vibration can be beautiful and manipulating the rules of electricity to make music.
This is an interactive exhibit that’s open to all, in the bar area.
Plus two FREE drop in workshops for anyone aged 12+ (under 16s must be accompanied)

Science of Music: Analogue Instrument Making Workshop
Make and play your own unique musical instruments! In this workshop you can create analogue instruments using a number of surprisingly ordinary objects.
Sunday 12 Nov, 3.30pm (1 hour)
Science of Music: Digital Instrument Making Workshop
Make and play your own unique musical instruments! In this workshop you will learn the basics of electronics by creating a breadboard synthesiser that can be played with buttons, light or high fives.
This event is FREE and is part of our Digital Performance Weekender.
