About this event
Learn about the creative possibilities of using a commercially available Electroencephalography (EEG) headset that detects signals coming directly from the human brain!
Learn how it functions and how it can be connected to a computer and how the data can be used in a variety of ways. Three particular areas of interest are:
– Interactive non-linear films and audiovisual experiences that can have different possibilities depending on the brainwave data from the person watching it.
– Interactive sculptures which might move, draw and/or make sounds according to the wearer of the headset.
– Performances in which the performer or audience member wears the headset.
The group will then brainstorm creative ideas for using the EEG headset and potentially create a simple prototype. The workshop is particularly suited to anyone interested in new creative possibilities.
Suitable for beginners and beyond.
