About this event
An immersive virtual reality theatre experience: part theatrical piece, part art installation and part video game.
Featured this week in FAD’s Top 9 exhibitions to see this week (though it’s more of a performance than an exhibition!) – click here to see the review.
Inspired by the work of Sigmund Freud, WHIST invites you on a journey into the unconscious mind, through the dreams, fears and desires of a fictional family.
This one-hour experience merges physical theatre, interative virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies, and takes place within an art installation – in an environment that blurs the boundaries between consciousness and unconsciousness, reality and fiction, the physical and the virtual.
Your instincts will guide you through a narrative in a surreal world. No one person will have the same experience, with 76 different perspectives to choose from and multiple individual journeys to take.
Not to be missed, this new work was previewed at last year’s Digital Weekender at Watermans and is touring to great reviews.

A disorientating combination: but a powerful one... No two people will experience it in the same way.Creative Review
