I’m sure many of you already have a rainbow painting in your window thanking our amazing NHS. How about painting a rainbow onto your window? My creative young neighbours showed me today how they’ve made their own window paint to create gorgeous window designs giving a stain. Once you’ve painted your rainbow maybe you could create a pattern or a message for your neighbours. Please take a photo of your window art and send them to us @WatermansArts on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.

Use this super quick window paint recipe to create some art and mark making on the windows. The bonus is that it is very easy to wash off again when they are finished!
In a large bowl:
• 1 cup of plain flour
• 1 cup of water
• 1 cup of washing up liquid
Stir it up until all of the lumps were gone and it resembles a runny custard or sauce. Then separate the mixture into small containers and add a very tiny amount of gel food colouring to each one, stirring it through to mix it completely. Here’s our final creation. Happy painting!

Here’s a video of my neighbours talking you through how they made theirs and showing the artwork they created. Thanks girls!
